Personality: Vaiza Kuro is a very kind loyal, trustworthy and strong at heart person. He loves getting up in the morning, but will take frequent "cat" naps. He puts others' lives before his own life. If he sees a friend in danger he’ll immediately rush to aid them no matter the cost. Whether that cost be, going through hordes of hollows or arrancar.

He may not look like it but he is a major flirt with the ladies. Aside from that, he’ll drink sake once in a while but very very seldom. If he has the chance to make a perverted comment towards something or someone he will do it. This even applies when he is fighting.

He’s usually a silly laid back person that tries to put a smile on everyone’s face. He also is quite lazy at times as well. Now when he confronts an enemy, he becomes almost a completely different person, serious, in control, tactical & borderline ruthless.

Zanpakuto Name: Toradoshi

Zanpakuto Looks: Normal looking katana. Its handle is white with black tiger stripes & has a gold tsuba in the shape of a tiger’s paw. (Refer to Character image)

Shikai Info:

-Shikai Abilities: He can send surges of lightning through his claws & discharge excess into the ground. So if he faces an opponent that uses electric based techniques, he can make himself a human lightning rod. His favorite technique to use is called Raikou Tenka.

-Shikai Techniques:
Raikou Tenka: When this technique is performed, Vaiza channels reiatsu & lightning through his claws heating them up to a very high searing temperature. So essentially he burns his opponent but at the same time can shock them. He uses his reiatsu to protect himself from getting burnt but using Raikou Tenka too much drains him. If his opponent doesn’t defend in time & does get shocked. The body part that gets hit will go numb & lose nerve control. Due to this, his opponent won’t feel the pain of the burns until after they get their feeling back. (Lasts 2 posts since it takes extra energy to generate the heat.)

Although if he chooses to he can just shock his enemy this he calls Tokkan.

Tokkan: This technique is essentially the same as his Raikou Tenka, just minus the burning effect. (When shocked by this technique it’ll last up to 3 posts since he is only concentrating on using the lightning.) [Note over time the nerve damage he causes can become permanent until fixed. Also if he isn’t careful he’ll cause some nerve damage to himself. He rarely ever allows that to happen.]

Once he learned that his shikai powers would use up so much reiatsu, he honed his skills in close-quarters-combat & offensive & defensive Kido. He possesses a defensive technique as well, called Raikou Shi-rudo.

Raikou Shi-rudo: When this technique is used, lightning arcs between the gaps of his claws creating temporary shield blocking weak attacks. If he spreads his claws apart it creates a huge arc of lightning bouncing back & forth. At same time this technique can be an offensive defense. Offensive in the sense if his opponent’s Zanpakuto or metal weapon gets caught in the big arc of lightning, it will indeed send that surge of lightning through the weapon & into the enemy. [Granted it’s not a projectile.] This attack doesn’t stun it just hurts his opponent if he uses it offensively. [Another note when using bankai this technique can block stronger attacks & create bigger arcs of lightning]

Bankai Info:

-Abilities: Vaiza’s bankai essentially is his shikai by twice as deadly, since in bankai form he gains blades on his feet & a bladed tail similar to that of a white tiger. Also note the all the claws become longer & thicker when in bankai form. He becomes very agile than usual. Vaiza uses shunpo the most when using his bankai; combined with his shunpo & aerobatic skills. He can be one deadly opponent. His favorite bankai technique to use would have to be the upgraded version of Raikou Tenka. This technique he calls, Chimeiteki Raikou Tenka.

-Bankai Techniques:
Chimeiteki Raikou Tenka: When this technique is performed, Vaiza channels reiatsu & lightning through his claw, foot claws and tail heating them up to a very high searing temperature. Actually he makes it an even higher temperature than Raikou Tenka. His 4 claws & tail become so hot they start to cackle with lightning and appear blue. So essentially he burns his opponent but at the same time can shock them just like his shikai version. If his opponent doesn’t defend in time & does get shocked. The body part that gets hit will go numb & lose nerve control. Due to this, his opponent won’t feel the pain of the burns until after they get their feeling back. (Lasts up to 4-5 posts depending on the severity of the attack & how powerful his opponent is.)

This next technique he’ll use if he cannot land a hit on his opponent, since it is long range. He likes to call it, Ichimokusan Rakurai.

Ichimokusan Rakurai: When Vaiza uses this technique, a large bolt lightning shoots forth from his claws. To be specific he gathers reiatsu & lightning around his whole body and so as to not injure himself he anchor his tail into the ground. This takes a bit to charge if he wants to send a powerful lightning bolt. The more time he has to charge the more powerful & size of the lightning bolt will be. The only time he can shoot it at full strength is if his opponent is being held still.

Now another technique he likes to use is called, Taigai Raikou.

Taigai Raikou: When Vaiza performs this technique lightning bounces back & forth between his claws & tail. In other words, it creates somewhat of an electric fence effect on those that set foot near him. This area of effect ability is about a 2 foot radius. He’ll use this technique if his opponent is faster than he is. This move comes in very handy if he gets ambushed. In no way can this technique block a projectile attack.

Description of style: CQC a type of fighting in which small units engage the enemy with personal weapons at very short range, potentially to the point of hand-to-hand combat or fighting with hand weapons such as swords or knives, in Vaiza’s case he uses his fists or claws.

History and RP Sample

History:
Vaiza growing up didn’t have too bad of a childhood, no one really did wrong to him within the downtown area of Katakura town. He wasn’t dirt poor but not exactly the perfect life. Actually once he was about 6 years old he was the kid protecting others from bullies. It wasn’t until he was about 8 years old did he have one of his friends had him beat up for no reason. What that friend didn’t know was there were a couple of rabid dogs who escaped the pound. These dogs ended up tearing poor unconscious Vaiza up & killing him.

Vaiza suddenly awoke from being unconscious. He noticed something odd; he was looking down at his own mangled body. He began to freak out when all of a sudden a man wearing black robes touched his shoulders & told him, ” Everything will be okay”. In the next moment he was in another place. The man told him this was called the Rukongai district. From that point on Vaiza distanced himself from others for about 2 years. After those 2 years, he finally returned to his normal joking self.

One day he decided to be adventurous and go explore the woods on the outskirts of the Rugonkai. It was here he saw his first hollow. He knew not to get too close to the creature but he still approached the beast. Before the hollow even noticed him a shinigami came up behind him & put a hand over his mouth. Vaiza looked to his side & looked up to see a very beautiful female shinigami. She told him to stay quiet & stand still. He proceeded to watch the elegant shinigami destroy the hollow. He couldn’t help but blush gazing upon the beauty in front of him. Seconds later the female was her hand in front of his face since he was spacing out.

It turned out the hollow was being attracted to Vaiza himself. The female shinigami told him he had high reiatsu for someone his age and if he wanted to he could become a captain someday. Of course she didn’t actually mean the captain part, but she said it as encouragement. She however was serious about the reiatsu. He couldn’t help but stare at her “assets” more so. The female smirked and told him she was out of his league and try back in a few hundred years later. She just walked off after that. To this day his goal was to become a captain and get a girl as beautiful as the shinigami that saved him that one day.

After entering the academy, Vaiza worked and trained hard to learn everything he could. It took time, but he reached the top of each of his classes. One of the first classes that caught his field of interest the most was his Kido class. He soon found out that he was a natural at using both Hado and Bakudo Kido class spells. In no time, he became one of the best kido users in the entire academy at that point in time. Then one day, after seeing a few fellow shinigami practicing their shunpo, Vaiza became very interested in the technique. It took a massive amount of conditioning, but he managed to achieve very impressive shunpo technique. A few times he felt like giving up, but then he remembered the hot babe that saved him years ago. Thinking of that hottie always gave him the strive to continue on and succeed in the academy. After all those years of hard work he finally managed to accomplish one of those goals by becoming the Captain of Squad 2.

Vaiza stretched out his arms as he yawned. He had fallen asleep at his captain’s desk once again. He actually had a few papers stuck to his face. ’I seriously need to stop working myself to the bone…and recruit myself a lieutenant…. he thought to himself. He then got out of his chair and stretched once more as he popped his back while doing various warm-ups. He grabbed his haori and left his barracks.

As always he gave all the female shinigami that walked by him a quick glance checking them out. Every now and then for no reason he would get slapped. A few yes he probably deserved but others he didn’t. If he was lucky he’d the occasional fangirl glance from girls as well. Moments like that made him very happy. He was still on his life quest to get a woman equally as beautiful as that one female shinigami.
