| Basic InformationName: Cordelia "Dia" Phoebe CalibanReal Age: 675 years oldAppeared Age: 17 years oldGender: Uhhh....it looks like a female to me.Rank: Sexta EspadaNumber:....it's kinda obvious. Just look at the title.Hollow Hole: Her Hollow Hole is extremely small, located on her right ear lobe.Mask Fragment: Her Mask Fragment takes the form of partial Human skull. It sits on the right side of her forehead, and the eye sockets, teeth, and nose cavity are visible. The only parts missing would be the mandible, occipital, most of the parietal, and temporal sections of the skull. There is one row of long teeth, about 8 in that row. Tufts of pink hair stick out of the eye sockets, cascading around the edges of the skull.Number Tattoo: The bold, jet black tattoo of a 6 lies on her stomach, surrounding her bellybutton.Aspect of Death: SolitudeAppearance: Overall, Cordelia is a very beautiful woman. But, i'll go much more in depth, and start at the top. Her hair is bright pink, and appears to be neon in the sunlight. It's somewhat shiny, as if it was coated in lacquer. It is also cut a bit short, ending right around her collar bones. The tips of her hair fan out wildly, as her hair is slightly wavy. A portion of her bangs fall over her left eye, though it is not covered up completely. Her hair is usually kept tied up in one ponytail, placed on the left side of her head. Next topic, her face. It's not too long, nor is her jaw too wide. Calibans' skin tone is a light salmon tone. Her chin descends into a soft point, and doesn't jut out. Although, her features are still slightly sharp and very distinguished. Her nose is smooth and straight, ending in a tiny bump of cartilage like any other humanoid being.
Her lips are a pale violet red, as she never wears any lipstick or gloss. The upper lip and bottom lip are equal in terms of thickness, although her mouth is a teeny tiny bit smaller than normal. Her teeth are straight and white, complementing her pink lips and red tongue very well. Caliban's cheeks are the same skin tone as the rest of her body. They are not puffy, as she has high cheekbones. Her skin lights up rosy red if she's either A. embarrassed or B. exhausted. Her eyes are a bit wider than normal peoples. She has long, pitch black lashes that are fanned out, along with milky white sclera. Her irises are a soft orange in color. It's rare that she'll put on anything like mascara or eyeshadow. Caliban's eyebrows are a black color, matching her pink hair quite nicely. Her neck is a normal length, with some scars here and there from battles. Caliban's shoulders are a bit tiny for a female, and thin.
However, it should not be thought that she has a stick thin body. Her arms and legs are long, and slightly lanky. Her limbs have a proper amount of flesh, with well defined muscles and ligaments. Her hips are wide and curvy, while her waist is slender and slim. Caliban's thighs are a healthy balance of fat and muscle. Her ankles are strong, as are her wrists. Her bust is a DD cup, leading to some unfavorable focus from the rather perverted males. Her fingers are a bit long and thin, yet they are not brittle. Cordelia wears a dark black blazer. It ends at just above her belly button, and has a gold lining. The buttons are square and also golden in color. The cuffs are usually folded back up to her elbows. Her collar is kept upturned, framing her neck perfectly. Underneath the jacket, she wears a short, knee-length spaghetti-strap dress. It is also black in color. Her shoes are a pair of white, calf-length boots. Her height is 5'0” and her weight is 100 lb.Personal InformationLikes/Dislikes:| Likes ||| Candy || In her mind, any type of candy goes hand in hand with being lazy. Her “bad habit” of overindulging can take place at any time. She finds any type of candy tasty, whether it be chocolate, or hard sugar, or even gum. If she's ever offered some, Caliban could end up being the most polite person you've ever seen. Much to her enjoyment, her tolerance of sugar is amazingly high.
|| Cursing || Another awkward “bad habit”. She manages to keep cursing down to a minimum in front of other Espada as not to appear rude, but will sometimes display her uhh....”colorful”...vocabulary during average situations. If she happens to be in a bad mood, her use of curse words will severely increase.
|| Napping || Probably her 2nd favorite past time. She finds afternoon naps extremely rejuvenating, and will recommend it as a major stress reliever. Caliban can be found napping at any time of the day, due to her unpredictable and insane sleep schedule.
|| Mornings || Cordelia is a very hyper morning person, often enjoying the sunrise and breakfasts. She frequently re-arranges her already screwed up sleep schedule in order to wake up promptly in the morning.
|| Moving Walkways|| For some odd reason, Caliban has a unique fascination with human technology. Namely, the moving walkway. She absolutely loves them, provided their speed is very high. On numerous occasions has Cordelia declared that Las Noches needs an increase in technology. Why should Humans get all the awesome things?| Dislikes ||| Blind Loyalty || It annoys her to see someone so blindly loyal. Everything has faults, and to not acknowledge them makes someone look foolish in her eyes. Caliban even checks in with her crew to assure that everything is going well and fair. This is the main reason why she is so hostile towards the fools, as she sees them as encouraging that blind loyalty.
|| Losing to someone who uses dirty tactics || One of the most aggravating things she could ever name. On many occasions she has witnessed certain soul creatures use dirty tactics in battles. Every time she would see them, she'd secretly vow to defeat them with her fair methods, just to show them how worthless they were. It was a form of training for her, and something she enjoyed very much. Nowadays, she doesn't immediately go after those who are using dirty tricks. Instead, she'll give them a fair warning, and it works very well.
|| Hot weather || It's so irritating. She hates to get hot and sweaty, unless it's in battle. And at least in battle, she gets a lot of fun out of it. During hot weather and miserable summers, she'll stay indoors as much as she can. If she has to go out, and of course she'll have to go some places, she'll reluctantly wear short skirted kimonos. She'll also use a small pink parasol to block the sunlight, as Caliban will attempt to avoid that damn heat any way she can. Even if it means looking ridiculously girly.
|| Windowless rooms || Alas, Cordelia is a free spirit. Such things like being in windowless rooms and confined places always freak her out a tiny bit. Like anything else, she hides this extensively. It is unknown why she hates windowless rooms so much, that she refuses to even go in one.Strength/Weaknesses: | Strengths ||| Swordsmanship Expert || As Sexta Espada, her skills in such important areas as Hakuda and swordsmanship should already be considerably impressive. But, out of all her combat techniques, swordsmanship is her most adept area. She can easily mix slashes and strikes with Sonido, along with Hakuda.
|| Sonido Master || She has tended to her Sonido mastery quite extensively, viewing as a very important section of the Arrancars abilities. This is probably her second best area of area as far as skills go.
|| Flexibility || Due to events in her Human Life and the training in the forest, the flexibility of her body is nearly unrivaled. She is capable of bodily feats that most are not.
|| Master in Hand-to-hand combat || Her hand-to-hand combat is sharply executed, clean, and it's safe to say that it's dangerous. Although, the areas above are more refined than her hand-to-hand combat.
|| Physical Strength || Even though Cordelia has a very small frame and stature, her strength is very high. Her resurrecion only heightens this strength of hers. Dias' physical strength backs up her fast Hakuda moves and Sonido expertise.| Weaknesses ||| Quick Temper || The list of temper tantrums that Cordelia has thrown in astounding. Her temper greatly crushes any patience or calm that she has in her mind. However, this temper commonly presents itself when someone, such as an ally, directly insults her. She is smart enough to know that enemies will often taunt and insult, as she does to her own.
|| Rough Sarcasm || On numerous occasions has Dias' sarcastic traits gotten her into danger and occasionally trouble with others. Due to her policy of phrasing her words in anyway, at anyone, anytime, problems have presented themselves with both her fellow Espada and other creatures.
|| Hierro || Compared to the other Espada, Cordelias' Hierro is somewhat below average. It is probably on par with an advanced Octava Espada hierro.
|| Irresponsibility || As for this, Dias' naturally hedonistic and lazy nature go hand in hand with this bad aspect. She will refuse to take responsibility for anything she deems too serious.
|| Cero || Well, her Cero is probably just under average. It's charging time is short, but the power contained within' it is not anything that special. Cordelia intends on training this weakness, in secret of course.Personality: Caliban has a tongue quicker than a whip and sharper than a knife. Her insults are often quickly shot at others and pack a sour punch. The words spoken are frequently brash and rough, tinged with sarcasm. They are peppered with curse words, as she is rather fond of the taboo, 'colorful' words that typically present themselves when one is sparked with rage. She will speak her mind at anytime, loudly, about anyone or anything she desires too. Cordelia refuses to soften her opinions about anyone, regardless of status or age. She is extremely independent, refusing to depend on anyone. Simple acts of generosity or politeness will often be taken as patronization. Her sarcastic nature often gets the best of her when she tries to make friends or allies. When she sees something wrong, she will not hesitate to confront others about it. She doesn't see this as an insult. She wants to make the things around her better and stronger, viewing them as a family. Her extensively carefree and adventurous aspects mixes in well with the blunt aspects of her personality. Cordelia is an easygoing girl, even in combat she retains the laid-back attitude. If she has eaten cookies or is in an especially good mood, she is usually very friendly and happy to others.
Unlike many, Cordelia is not capable of true evil. She could not relentlessly pursue power that directly harmed those around her, including allies. Even if that power was a god almighty power. It just strikes her as pitiful that someone would do such a thing. Why would you want that much power, if you have already burnt bridges and ruined relationships? However, she is capable of slaying others without remorse or care. There is always motivation behind these killings and views it as redemption for the burden the world has placed upon her. She is hot-headed, bursting out in anger when she is criticized. In battle, Cordelia properly examines her opponent, registering their strengths and weaknesses in her mind. Such things are still a valuable asset in her opinion, and she uses it often. Her fighting style has been called deadly by those in Las Noches who have witnessed her battles. In a combination with her fierce determination, immense power, and quick wit, she could bring cocky foes to their knees. Caliban is aware of this and takes very much pride in it. During battles with creatures like Shinigami, she prefers to have fun with it while sticking with the code instilled in her heart. Caliban refuses to let them win, it directly goes against anything she and her comrades stands for. Another aspect of her personality is her hedonistic ways.
She'll often seek out pleasure and fun, instead of Shinigami bloodshed and missions. Around Fraccion and lower-ranked Arrancar, she's typically very calm but slightly rude. Especially if a lower ranked Arrancar is cocky. In no way is she responsible and diligent. In fact, she is probably one of the most lazy, childish, and irresponsible Arrancar out there. If she doesn't wanna do anything, she's not gonna do anything. And good luck getting her too. All I can say is that bribing with candies or tea will usually work. Her opinions towards Shinigami, Humans, Quincies, etc. are the same. Cordelia is apathetic towards all of them unless they capture her interest and attention. Her interests are slightly strange, fitting her weird and quirky behavior quite nicely. As for such things like love, it'll take a lot to convince her it exists. She believes that the only reason people fall in love is because they are infatuated with themselves, and therefore search for someone like themselves. Until the right one comes along and charms her, she wouldn't even think of straying into that subject. It's rare to see her flirt with true means of getting 'involved' with another sex. She will flirt, however, simply to see others get flustered and bothered. This part of her personality is very mischievous and naughty.
Most of her gratification is derived from fucking around and teasing her fellow Espada or Arrancar. Cordelia has an immense appetite for both souls and average human-made food, like burgers and candy. She consumes souls for power, and normal food simply for the taste. She is a clear favoritism over technology, like iPods, computers, and most notably of all, moving walkways. Her mind often wonders what Las Noches would look like reinforced with tons of gadgets and devices. This makes her drool. She tends to flutter between being utterly realistic and ridiculously dreamy. It's more often the latter. There is one race that she does not have her usual apathetic attitude towards. That would be the Vizard race. She views them as utter freaks of nature, and not in the awesome way. Their power is an utter defiance of all that is the natural balance. And for that, she refuses to act civil around them. She wouldn't ally with them if it meant the end of the world. Cordelia is sometimes selfish and rude, especially when in a bad mood. She also has an immensely perverted mind, factoring into her weird sense of humor.Sexual Orientation: Straight Relationship Status: Single, not looking. Resurrecion InformationName: MelodíaRepresent: Unlike most other Arrancar, Cordelia does not represent an animal or insect. Instead, she represents an imp.Family: SoundLooks: During her Resurreccion, Cordelia represents an imp. Her ears become tiny and pointed. Her eyes widened even more than normal, and are lined in black. Her irises turn dark, navy blue. Under her eyes are red markings shaped like crescent moons, connected to the black lining. Inverted tear drop markings, gray in color, lay below that. In addition to her impish form, it has very many jester features. A small, cream-colored ruff lies around her neck. Replacing her typical Espada outfit is a full body uniform. This uniform is skintight, and is red and black in color. Two golden spheres are attached to the breastbone area of her outfit. White collars are cuffed around her wrist, pinned in place with small skull buttons. She also wears a pair of silky, pure white gloves. Miniature golden hoop earrings are pierced in each ear lobe.
As for hair and skin, the vibrancy of each seems to drain. Her hair turns shiny, dark brown, growing a slight bit in length. Her skin pales drastically, becoming almost white in color. Her Mask Fragment, the human skull, completely disappears. It is replaced by a floppy, four-pointed hat. Like the uniform, it is black and red. The edges of the hat are lined in golden tinted silk. A small yellow jingling bell hangs from each floppy tip. From her knees to her ankles are striped leg warmers, tan in color. Her weapon becomes a broad sword. The center of the sword is hollowed out, yet pitch black in color. On each side of the sword, over the hollowed part, is three white strings. This means there are six strings in all. These strings are coated in Cordelias' reiatsu, which protect them from being cut or harmed. Asides from the strings and center, the blade is dark grayish-brown in color. The hilt and guard is very dark blood-red, with tints of plain brown. The guard is a narrow rhombus and the corners are upturned ever so slightly.Techniques- Personal Techs:
Name: This technique has no name, as it is simply the main ability that accompanies Cordelias' release. State: Resurreccion Type: Passive Description: Melodías' main ability is to adapt and draw in sound waves , firing them off as concussive blasts. She can shoot these concussive blasts by fusing sounds with her emotions and feelings. The stronger the emotion, the stronger the attack. A side effect of her Resurreccion is that she can see sounds as beautiful, lighted colors. Pressured, rough sounds are red in color, while peaceful sounds such as a slow flowing creek are bright blue. Words are colored based on the emotion put into them. Red being angry or authoritative, blue being calmed or soft. As for reiatsu colors, Cordelia loses the ability to see them, but she can feel the power. Reiatsu color actually takes the appearance of black, white, or gray, based on the owners personality. It is almost always gray, as most everyone has a varied, complex personality. Cordelias' hearing capability is also slightly impaired in Resurreccion. She draws in these blasts by “playing” the sword. She can simply strum her fingers along the strings, causing the blade to glow a plum color.
Name: Erato State: Resurreccion & Sealed Description: The larger tip of her weapon grows, eventually matching her upper body in size. The distorted tip then proceeds to split down the middle, unhinging to reveal a hole akin to a large mouth. It has many sharp, serrated teeth, and there's a hole at the end of the mouth. If you look into that hole, you will see nothing but despair and misery. Eratos' ability is that Cordelia will recite the name once, and a large sound-wave will be released from the mouth. It will automatically begin to snap and snarl at the flesh it comes near to, whether it be friend or foe. The only one it doesn't snap at is Cordelia, because it is it's owner. The sound wave is deafening, causing weaker opponents ears to bleed or erupt due to the high intensity. This blast will have little effect on stronger opponents, and will not even be heard by those who are much more powerful than her. Cool Down: 5 posts Duration: 1 post

- Standard Arrancard Techs:
Name: Bala -meaning “Bullet”- State: Both Description: Bala is an Arrancar alternative to Cero. The technique hardens the user's Spiritual Pressure and fires it like a bullet. Although it is weaker than a normal Cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same. Stronger Arrancar can also fire a more powerful Bala, while retaining its twenty-fold speed. Cordelias' Bala is dark pink in color, and is fired from her tongue.
Name: Hierro -meaning “Iron”- State: Both Description: Hierro refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutō bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar have proportionally stronger skin.
Name: Sonído – meaning “Sound”- State: Both Description: Sonido is the Arrancar equivalent of Shunpo, of the Shinigami race and Hirenkyaku, of the Quincy race; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for Flash Steps.
Name: Cero -meaning “Zero”- State: Both Description: Cero is a high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Cordelias' Cero is vibrant, neon plum in color. She will make a gun shape with her right hand, charging it. It is fired by gently tipping it backwards.
Name: Gran Rey Cero -meaning “Grand King Zero”- State: Both Description: Gran Ray Cero is a much stronger Cero, exclusive to the Espada. To perform this potent variation of the Cero, the Arrancar first draws blood from the Cero-generating appendage using his or her Zanpakutō, then charges the Cero while mixing the blood with it. The result is a Cero with a much greater attack power and speed, as well as a change of color unique to the Espada. Cordelias' Gran Ray Cero is fired in the same manner as her average cero, and is gold in color.
Name: Garganta -meaning “Sound”- State: Both Description: Garganta is how Arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway
Name: Pesquisa – -meaning “Inquiry”- State: Both Description: Pesquisa is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to a sonar. Using Pesquisa requires Espada to enter a meditative state. History and RP SampleHistory:- Spoiler:
-Living an Apocryphal Life-
Cordelia Caliban was the third born of the Kemura Clan, born with the name Tai Yoshimi. She was born during the first year of the Muromachi Period, 1336, on April 1st. Her step-mother was Otsuka Kemura. Lady Otsuka was a rather haughty woman, with the frame of a thin skeleton. She was somewhat beautiful, with her long, flowing raven black hair. Her eyes were dark brown, and it was always rumored she could look into the soul of the darkest person. This was somewhat expected, as the woman herself was dark and crazy. She had wanted riches since she was a young girl, despite the fact she had been in a rich clan herself. Cordelias' father was a man by the name of Michiro Kemura. He was a weak willed man, yet very handsome. He had wavy, shoulder length brown hair and sharp features. He was the patriarch of the Kemura Clan. Michiro had taken Otsuka as his bride, both because his love for her and pressure of the clans. The Kemura Clan was particularly rich in their little area of Japan because they were sitting on a pile of diamonds and golds. It wasn't hard to discover how valuable this was to others. They hired guards, maids, servants, and ruled over the medium sized area. They declared it Kemurachi, or “Kemura Town”. It was ruled fairly well, by the townspeople, that is. The Kemura Clan was largely uninvolved with the community, relishing their riches and fortune. It happened to be on an August night that the patriarch, Michiro, took a visit into Kemurachi.
He walked around for a bit, eventually losing his way and wandering into the dark allies. Mind you, even though this makeshift city was run finely, there was still dark creatures lurking in the shadows. One such creature was Britta Neschze, a Russian female. She had migrated around the world, eventually making her way into Japan. She settled in the small town for the week, and would go on her way once more. She regarded herself as a 'tour guide of the lusting'. In other words, she was a prostitute. And a good one at that. She had a long fiery mane of red hair, and electrifying blue eyes. Her lips were soft like velvet, and dusted with crimson. Her body was kept in amazing shape, curvy and voluptuous. Britta was gorgeous, and could a break a mans heart with a snap of her fingers. Even though her profession was unfortunate, her personality was not. She was regarded as an angel with a heart of gold. Britta was kind and witty, often picking customers based on how they acted and treated her. That was why she picked Michiro. He was sweet, clumsy, and shy. They intertwined their fates that night. Once the morning arrived, Michiro stumbled back to his residence in a daze. He was questioned on his whereabouts by Otsuka, who constantly assumed the worst. Britta liked Michiro very much, so she decided to stay for a month or two. After a month had passed, it was evident she was pregnant.
But, since Britta made a living on the sins of others, she was unsure whos' child it was. She speculated Michiro many times, but ultimately avoided confronting him. What if she was killed for bringing him a child? Nonetheless, an [i]illegitimate[/u] child? She would surely be put to death. Hanged. And her child....her poor child would be cast out on the streets. Dead within' weeks. So, being the woman that she was, Britta stayed in town and kept under the wire. She had her child, Cordelia Neschze, on April 1st 1336. Out of paranoia, she left her baby at the stoop of the maids cabin. The maids worked for none other than the Kemura Clan. The head maid, Naomi Yoshimi, took in the child as her own. She knew of the girls heritage, as Britta had left a note in the basket Cordelia was left in. Naomi told no one else of her lineage, waiting for when the time was right. So, time went on, and Tai Neschze was raised as Tai Yoshimi. She was an apprentice maid, taking care of the cooking and some chores. Cordelia would listen obediently to the other maids, doing whatever chores they asked her do. As she grew, her beauty bloomed like a rose. Her hair had matured from red, to dark violet crimson. Her eyes were bright blue, like her mothers. Everytime Michiro looked at her, he'd see Britta. It haunted him greatly, so he confronted Naomi when Cordelia turned six years old. He asked how Naomi found the girl, and Naomi handed over the note.
He read it in horror after finding out the child was Brittas'. He, like the mistress Britta, was unsure if the child was indeed his. Either way, the following months, he took Cordelia into the Kemura Clan. The event was held, and attended by all. She was regarded as an orphan, with no were else to go. The Kemura took her in out of the goodness of their hearts, a cover. Naomi was promptly killed, to silence any possibility of their reputation being tarnished. She was regarded as the princess of the Kemura Clan, called by villagers “The Fool Princess”. Cordelia was known for her dreamy nature, often looking ahead without seeing what was around her. The two older boys liked their adoptive sister very much, unaware that they were somewhat linked. Otsuka though, hated her stepdaughter. Due to her own reasons, she proposed Cordelia become a geisha princess. After an agreement was reached, Otsuka plotted and planned. Each night, Otsuka would enter Cordelia's chambers and beat her senseless. Sometimes with a blunt instrument, other times with a whip. Her scars would be covered up by heavy layers of makeup and clothes. Cordelia hated being a geisha, mainly because she wasn't allowed to run around and play with her friends. The maids felt sorrow for the poor girl, as they eavesdropped on the beatings. After getting beaten severely on the eve of her 10th birthday, Cordelia decided she would run away. She packed up her things and exited the residence.
As she wandered back into the unruly town, she spotted a bright and fun group of travelers. There were fire eaters, contortionists, ringleaders, clowns, freaks of nature. It shocked and fascinated her at the same time. She spotted a boy about her age, a fire eater. His name was Shōjiki Tatchi . Young Cordelia asked what the people were during, and he replied they were a traveling circus. Cordelia smiled and clapped, deciding to tag along. The traveling circus left the next night, training Cordelia as a trapeze artist. Her other friend was a girl, about her age, named Ai Uwaki. Ai was a contortionist, and helped train Cordelia. They continued to travel and train for 4 more years. However, Cordelia wasn't put in any shows. Ai was always the main feature, shining up in the candle light. As they traveled, a romance blossomed between Cordelia and Shōjiki. They liked each other very much, throwing playful glances and flirty advances towards one another. Once Cordelia turned 14 however, they stopped traveling for a small festival about a 40 miles outside present day Karakura. Of course, back then, it was just a field of grass and cattle. There were a rather large crowd of settlers outside that area, bigger than Kemurachi. It was to be their big performance, and Cordelias' final day with her circus. The circus set up camp, with large tents and a fire pit. They had a set of brass fire stokers sitting around the outer edges of the pit by the path, a very valuable and rare commodity for mere travelers.
On the night, they constructed a large patched tent, made for the performance. Ai and Cordelia put on each others makeup, giggling and chatting. Each of them resembled gentle harlequins. As Cordelia went to practice her routines, she left Ai and Shōjiki in the large room, together and alone. After she went through the steps of each, she returned, only to find Ai and Shōjiki kissing passionately. This broke her heart and she ran from the room, out into the night. She sobbed, clearly hysteric, as she ran on the path, stumbling around violently. Cordelia was running towards one of the numerous tents, one of which was owned by a suicidal clown lady. She figured the woman would have poison somewhere in the tent, as Cordelia had always seen the lady picking toxic herbs during the day. On her way there, however, Cordelia took the path by the fire pit. Unaware of the many rocks and pebbles scattered around the path, she tripped. Cordelia's body fell forward, heading straight for the fire stokers. She screamed painfully as she landed on one. It easily pierced through her diaphragm, and exited out of her neck. Gasping for air, Cordelia fell to the ground. The fire stoker was lodged in the upper portion of her body, passing through her left lung. She rested her head against the ground before finally perishing, lying in a pool of her own blood. Her eyes closed, exhaling her final breath. Then....it started up again.
-Roses on the Empty Grave-
Her spirit emerged from her body, appearing to be tethered to the ground by long chains. She had advanced straight from Plus, to an Earthbound Spirit. There was no in between, showing how greatly she had suffered. Cordelia wasn't ready to let go of her Human life. She wanted to be avenged. Shōjiki had broken her heart into tiny pieces with a sledgehammer named Ai. She wanted to pick up the pieces and rearrange them the best she could. But no, she was ripped away from her hope. What was she to do now? She couldn't move at all, those damned chains kept her held in place. Cordelia yelled and shrieked, unable to control her actions. Someone had gone near her body and the tents. She writhed in her bindings, staring with feral eyes at the person. Cordelia screamed louder and louder, but the person couldn't hear her. Or see her, for that matter. Her anger rose and her yells intensified as the man moved her corpse. The Chain of Fate, still connected to the body, snapped. This made shriek out of pain, rather than anger. Little mouths formed on the ends of the chain, causing excruciating pain. Her soul was decaying into a creature known as a Hollow. She stayed there for 2 years, watching as the man who broke her heart left. The circus has left, saying there goodbyes to the fallen trapeze artist. After the 2nd year, Cordelia broke out of her chains. With a loud scream, her Chain of Fate finally eroded away. Her body fell to the ground, white spewing onto her face and body. It cracked as quickly as it formed, revealing the new form: Hollow.
-Fading?-
As whatever was left of her humanity faded away into the darkness, the new body emerged. She was just an average Hollow for now, and would have to work for Gillian. Her body was large and thin, like a skeleton. Her limbs were quite pronounced, ending in sharp claws. She had long red hair, flowing around her body. It seemed to float, as if it she was sitting underwater. As memorizing as the Hollowfied female was, she was still a ravenous beast. Cordelia took off across Japan, eating whoever she came past along the way. She easily took down small villages and towns, punching buildings into rubble. Cordelia had no choice over her victims, she ate whoever was available. It was pure instinct, something all Hollows retained. Especially young ones, like Cordelia. She had no strategy, no competent mind. Although, she took her time while preying on her meals. She'd often stay in the same area, hunting those down who ran. Once she found them and ate them, she'd stay in that spot, luring more to their demise. It worked like a charm, her meals ran right into her mouth. It went this like this for another hundred or two hundred years. She also devoured many Hollows who confronted her during those days, unaware of what alliance was. One day however, the Soul Society decided that a certain Hollow was becoming a bit of a threat. They sent out two seated officers to combat her, sorely mistaking her power level. When they arrived, she already had the upper hand.
Cordelia struck from behind, biting one of the shinigamis heads off their shoulders. She lifted up it's body with her large hands, tossing it into her mouth as if it were a potato chip. With a light groan, the feeling of new power coursed through her veins. It was sweet, like candy. She wanted more......lots more. A hungry, lusting stare was directed at the other one, she lunged towards him. Cordelia shrieked as she was smacked away by a....what was that? Another Hollow? It looked like her...it was probably on her power level. Quickly extending her hand towards the shinigami, she clenched her and into a fist. Her fingers wrapped around the legs of the shinigami, easily snapping them. This rendered him incapable of moving and she smirked evilly. Cordelia loved it when her meal was still. Chasing always gave her such a hard time. Turning back to the other Hollow, she darted behind him and aimed a punch at his spine. He fell and tumbled across the field and Cordelia leapt over to him. His foot extended, hitting her stomach. Cordelia shrieked as she knocked into a small tree, easily bending the trunk. Her eyes refocused as he sprang towards her. Opening her mouth, Cordelia's teeth bit into the Hollows flesh as he landed on her. She ripped him limb for limb, devouring all the power her contained. Cordelia then sauntered over to the shinigami and proceeded to devour him also. She let out a loud howl and collapsed onto her knees. A bright flash emitted from the area, and her howl grew into something different. Deep and dark, forged from the very souls of her own race.
She had advanced into the Gillian state, first stage of the Menos Grande class. Her form was tall and black, with a ring of white spikes around her neck. The mask was plain, with a large nose. It was during this form that she grew much more powerful. She gained the ability to cast Ceros, Balas, and open Garganta. She used this all to advantage, getting her teeth into anyone she could. Hollows, Humans, Shinigami, Quincy. Anyone. There were no boundaries to be broken in her book. Another two hundred years of killing and devouring, she got into an intense battle. This time with two other Gillians. They tried to fend her off, and failed miserably. She devoured them quickly, along with all the Hollow, Human, and Shinigami souls they held within' them. This time, her rush of power and transformation was in the Forest of Menos. A shimmering pink filled the air, followed by an orange flash. Another growl was released, but it changed slightly after the mist cleared. Feminine, gentle....hurt. It was the sad wail of a girl. However, the voice did not match the body. Yes, her figure was vaguely humanoid. But, her body was covered from head to toe in white. It looked like armor, yet her form was reminiscent of a skeleton. Her hair was long, much like her average hollow form. It also seemed to float gracefully around her body. So, she had reached it. The Adjuchas stage. Very few manage to get their dirty little claws on it, so she was absolutely gleeful that she did. Wait a minute....she was gleeful. Cordelia sat down and looked around. She had a mind. A conscious. She was no longer an instinct driven brat. Well, still mostly instinct driven. Yet, she had a brain that could think independently.
All she needed to do know was grow, more. She immediately stood up and swept through the forest, devouring anything in sight. While she no longer liked mindlessly rushing around, eating and killing, it was the only sufficient way for her to gain the power she desired. She was included in a posse of other Adjuchas, working under one main Adjuchas. Another 100 years passed, eating and devouring while serving under the main Adjuchas. They all worked decent together, as decent as a group of idiot Hollows could get. Cordelia knew he was no more powerful than her, so after she had finished eating her daily group of prey, she ate each Adjuchas of the group. She started with the weakest, then worked her way up, finally confronting the leader. Angered about the fact that he had been using all of them as servants, she attacked him. During their fiery battle, he admitted that he one day planned to enact the same plot Cordelia was using at that very moment. Killing and eating his own group. This fueled her rage even more, to the point where she finally slaughtered him. She rested and chomped on his limbs, devouring the power he held. It was like ambrosia, reaching such glory.
In the days following that event, she came upon a man in the desert. He said his name was Sosuke Aizen. She was initially distrustful of the man, sensing him to be one of the Shinigami. With a bit of coaxing, he convinced her to follow him. He exposed her to the power of the Hogyoku and shifted the powerful Adjuchas to the Arrancar state. After a brief exchanging of words he left the young woman in the desert, recommending her to seek out the Arrancar at Las Noches.
-A Smile here and a Battle there-
After converting to an Arrancar, she felt much more different. She remembered how many souls she had devoured, innocents that were slain in her conquest for power. But she did not feel sorrow, she felt thankful. They had given her the chance to rise above and protect those who needed to be protected. It did not matter how she gained this marvelous power, but how she used it. For now though, she wasn't in such a hot state. Being enhanced by the Hogyoku had some slight consequences, one of which was her drained state. Crawling over to the remains of slain Hollows, she feebly feasted on them. This supplied her with enough power to find her way, and get some decent clothes. All she had on at the time was a gown like outfit, tattered and ripped. She wandered towards the magnificent palace in the distance. It was a pristine white, as if it were made by the minds of the most pure souls. It was damn big though....how many creatures lived there? It had to be a lot. It had taken her 3 years and counting to get to the palace, as she had many slow stops on the way. On her way to the palace, which she learned from another traveling Arrancar as “Los Noches”, she was greeted by a rather unruly Arrancar. He looked about 19 or so, still very young. Yet, Cordelia knew herself that appearances were deceiving. She frowned as he mentioned a fight, her attention mostly focused on that magnificent castle. Without warning, he advanced and attacked.
She, unwilling to give up her dream of making it to the palace, fought back. Slashes and stabs were exchanged between the two Arrancar, but it was ultimately Cordelia who won when she released her Resurreccion for the first time. She mercilessly slaughtered him before returning to her Sealed Form, drained of power. She'd have to extensively train her Resurreccion, as using it like that could wear her out quicker than she expected. She managed to make her way into Los Noches, although her lack of power and tiring journey had severely worn her down. As she lay on the floor, a man approached her. She was only listening here and there, but he said something about the Espada. She didn't know what they were at the time, but the word intrigued her. After she had been healed, Cordelia learned that Espada were the warriors of Las Noches. Shortly after, she decided to venture back to the Forest of Menos. Here, she trained to get stronger along with occasionally eating other Hollows.
After she had mastered her Resurreccion among other things, she trekked back to Los Noches and took up the name Cordelia Caliban. Cordelia meaning heart, and Caliban a refined anagram of the word 'cannibal'.Once she got there, she found that lots of things had gone down in her absence. The Espada had been defeated by the Shinigami, along with a Human boy named Ichigo Kurosaki. This made Cordelia quite distraught. Along with that, the strange man had also been defeated. Believing it as her time to shine, she took up the spot as the new Sexta Espada, replacing Grimmjow Jeagerjaquez. Cordelia continues to train as she is strongly determined to earn more power. RP Sample: Akemi sighed as she stared down at her paperwork. Was it her or did every time she look back to it, it seemed to grow in amount? She looked back over her shoulder in disgust, glaring as if it was a person. Akemi groaned and dragged herself back to the brown hued desk, plopping her ass down on the swivel chair. She picked up a pen and leaned forward, furiously scribbling in the empty sections. Akemi answered each question in messy handwriting, along with putting in smarmy comments in the margins. Why the hell didn't the 1st Division update their paperwork? They'd send out the same form each month, and the only thing she could see that was updated was the name of the captains. Her official title was “Kenpachi Ume”, and it was stamped in thick, black script on the corner of each paper. She set each paper into a neat tray when she finished with them, taking sips of tea in between. Akemi reclined her cushioned swivel chair, extending her hand out in front of her for a cookie. She smiled and bit into one, a bit of crumbs falling onto her shihakusho. Akemi sat up a bit, brushing them from her chest. As she scarfed down a few other cookies with no hand, she kept paperwork still while writing in the designated areas. After she had completed most of the papers, she set them in the tray. Akemi stood up, clamping her fingers. As she leaned on it and thrust herself out of the chair, her pen snapped, spilling black ink over the paper and her desk. She scowled and stared out, throwing her hands into the air before letting them fall back to her sides. ”Motherfucking....shitty pens...” Akemi hissed, walking over to the sink. She twisted the handle, sighing as water gurgled and shot from the faucet. Akemi stuck her hands under the water, shrieking as it hit her skin. Damn, was it scalding hot. She wrung her hands out, glaring at the steam rising from the basin. Akemi quickly spun the handle back to off, raising her hand to activate the cold water. She smiled in relief and let the water wash over her hands, scrubbing ink from her usually pure almond tinted skin. Pushing the soap pump with one hand, she rubbed it back onto her skin. Most of it came off, leaving a small grayish stain. She gazed back at the desk, the unfinished papers soaked in ink. Taking a small rag from the hanging hook, she slid it under the water briefly. Akemi left a corner of the cloth dry, so she could pat the desk down once she finished wiping up the mess. Akemi turned on her heels and strode back to the desk, her geta sandals clicking against the wooden floor. She leaned over, sweeping ink into the cloth. With the other hand, she picked up the tainted paperwork and threw into the trash can. There was no salvaging it, she might as well pick a couple new copies up later. After the cloth had absorbed any spot of ink, she rubbed the desk down with the dry end. Akemi sighed and turned around, leaning on the front of the desk. Her head turned to the side slightly as a black butterfly flew through the open window, resting on her shoulder. Like always, it carried a message. ”Kenpachi Ume, you are to send 2 seated officers to take care of any Hollows present in Karakura Town for the day. Please have them arrive in front of the 11th Division Barracks, as a Senkaimon is already awaiting.” Akemi sighed and shook her head. Hollows weren't that serious, 1 seated officer would have been enough. But oh well. Akemi tossed the cloth into the sink, peeking into the hallway. Most of her division members were at the training grounds, fighting as usual. She rested a hand on the doorway, leaning against it. Her head suddenly shot up and her eyes widened. Why didn't she just go to Karakura Town? No one would mind, as she was kinda on business, right? She rushed over to her desk and dug her red headband out of a drawer. It doubled as her reiatsu limiter, something every captain needed to wear while in the Human World. Akemi tied it around her white hair, slipping on her tattered Haori. She smiled as she strode out of the office and into the halls, looking mindlessly at her division members. Akemi rested a hand on one of the men, looking at him with piercing blue eyes.”Well hey there, d'ya mind picking up some papers from the 1st Division? I had a fight with a pen, which didn't go so well for the papers. Just pick up the standard work papers and set them on my desk. I'll be back soon.” Akemi ordered, commanding yet calm. She adjusted the nodachi zanpaktou on her back, sliding the red cord into place. Using a few flashsteps through the division hallways and out into the open area, she yawned. Akemi leaned her body forward, looking for those Kido Corps people. They were the ones who opened up Senkaimons for those who ventured into the Human World, and the ones she needed to get to. She finally spotted them, nonchalantly striding over to them. They all bowed shortly, before one of them asked where the seated officers were. ”I decided to take on the job for day, if that's alright.” Akemi stated plainly, her eyes narrowing slightly at the one who spoke. He nodded, opening up the gate. A butterfly followed next to her, leading her way. She yawned as she paced through the Senkaimon, grinning as the door opened up to reveal the lush area of Karakura. The white light shimmered into the area, lighting aglow a group of people. As she scrutinized them, she realized one was familiar. Akemi exited the Senkaimon, and at 6'2”, she towered over the three people. She gave a short wave to the captain, recognizing him as Captain of the Onmitsukido and 2nd Division, Yokkyu Fuman. He had been captain right around the same time as her, maybe a year or two more. Akemi sauntered over to the group, her hands resting on her hips. She gave a slow glance to the female, and the male before looking up. She could see shadows, and feel slight presences. She turned her eyes back to Yokkyu, yawning. ”So, you brought them along with?” Akemi questioned quietly, referencing to the Onmitsukido members. If the Humans seen and heard her, she didn't care. It's not like they would be aware of who she was speaking of. Her own reiatsu was hidden by the limiter. | |
